In this section, a selection of various projects from non-studio courses is viewable. There is a design and full scale construction from a furniture design seminar, a winning entry into a Habitat for Humanity design competition, a complete history of a forgotten Cincinnati landmark, a 60-page report on Cincinnati's geological conditions and its importance concerning architecture, and also a site study of a greenspace on the University of Cincinnati campus. There is also a series of projects from an Environmental Technologies course, that include thermal and lighting calculations, as well as image galleries of thermal and lighting observations. There is also a structural analysis of the Beijing Olympic Stadium available for viewing. Next to each project is a short description. Click on the links to see the projects in their original format.
| Furniture Design Gallery

This project entailed the design and construction of a piece of furniture. The design I worked on was for a bench; it was inspired by the simplicity of the Platform Bench designed by George Nelson, but takes that concept and furthers it, manipulationg the simplicity in a complilcated way.

| The History of Glencoe Place
 |
This 17-page report contains what a complete history of the Glencoe Place complex. Glencoe Place is a registered historic district in the Mt. Auburn neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. Built between 1884 and 1891, the topographic, architectural, and historical characteristics make it one of the most unique places in the city, yet it stands deserted and falling into disrepair.

This is a thorough 60-page document containing reports and photography of significant geological features of Cincinnati and the surrounding area.

| Mews Gardens Site Study |
A study of the positive and negative aspects of a public space on the U.C. campus. This project was done for a site systems class that focused on proper landscape design.

| Light Level Measurements |
This project is made up of a series of images of the main councourse of Mary Emery Hall, in the CCM complex at the University of Cincinnati. These images were taken of the upper and lower levels, at various times of day and cloud cover conditions. The intent is to observe how daylighting affects the space.
